ABSTRACT: The hepatitis B virus (HBV) has infected more than 2,000 million people today and is one of the major diseases of mankind [13. Following infection with HBV, hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) appears in the serum. In those who recover completely from the infection, anti¬bodies to HBsAg (anti-I-18s) appear in the serum corresponding with the disappearance of HBsAg.
